Official Handover of Portwey

On Saturday the 1st November trustees and volunteers met with the trustees and volunteers of The Steam Tug Portwey Trust for the official handing over of Portwey to The Steam Boat Trust.

Our Chairman Edward Ions and Treasurer David Bowen represented the trust and were accompanied by Christopher Bannister and a couple of volunteers. The handover was completed at Lunch time next to the steam tug Portway, where Edward exchanged £1 for her.

Portwey will be remaining at Canary Wharf whilst we carry on repairing her boiler and then after that will be moving to Chatham, where we plan to open her up to visitors once again.
